Junior

FAQ

The questions people ask first.

Short answers. Help has the longer ones.

Is there an iPhone or Android app?

Not yet. Junior is a web app, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like one.

How to add it →

What does it cost?

Prices aren't set yet, and nothing can charge you. There will be a free plan, and two paid plans for what costs us to run: Everyday, with Junior AI built in, and Everything, which adds bank links.

Is it free to start?

Yes. Every account starts with Kitchen and Calendar, and until prices are set, every app and AI feature is open to everyone with an invite.

How do I join?

Junior is invite-only. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when your invite is ready. That's the only email we'll send.

Can my partner see my stuff?

Only what you share. Everything is private until you share one item, or share your calendar or a grocery list with one person who says yes. You pick how much: only free/busy, all event details, or details plus adding events. Anything you mark private shows as Busy, and health details and what you ate never cross.

Does the AI train on my data?

No. Junior's assistant runs on Anthropic's Claude, and Anthropic's commercial terms don't allow training on what you send it.

What the assistant remembers →

Is my health information private?

Yes. It's yours alone at the database level, and sharing a meal or a doctor visit never shares what you ate, drank, or were told. Junior isn't a doctor, and nothing in it is medical advice.

Who's behind Junior?

Junior is independent: not owned by a big tech company.

Why Junior →

How do I leave?

Download everything from Settings, then Delete my account. It's erased for good 30 days later, and you can undo it until then.

What happens to my data if I stop paying?

Nothing is deleted. The apps a paid plan turned on switch off, and everything you added stays, ready to download.

Plans →

Does it work outside New York?

Yes, everywhere. The one exception is Guides' catalog of places to look up, which covers New York City today. Places you add yourself work anywhere.

Will Junior read my email?

No. Junior has no email connection. It sends sign-in codes, invites and reminders, and reads no mailbox.

Can I have a say in what you build?

Yes. Signed in, choose Request a feature in your account menu. Ask for something, or vote on the questions we're weighing, one vote each.

How voting works →

Can I link my bank?

Not yet. It's built and switched off. When it's on, it goes through Plaid, it's read-only, and your bank password goes to Plaid, never to Junior.
