Trips

The whole trip, before, during and after.

Have you ever come home from a trip and spent a week working out who owes what?

Photograph receipts, split each one, and Settle up shows every total.

Legs and stops, the options you're weighing, what everything cost, and who owes whom when you're home.

A trip changes shape as it goes: what's still open before you leave, what's next while you're there, and what it cost when you're back.

A trip to Northern Italy: what's on the tasks list, nights with a bed, stops planned and free days, the two legs, and what's next.

Legs and stops

Where you're sleeping, and what's in between

A trip is made of legs, each a place counted in nights or a stretch counted in days, with stays, getting around and things to do inside them.

The overview counts the nights with somewhere to sleep, the stops planned and the days with nothing on them yet, and flags anything still to book.

A trip on day three of eight: what's on the tasks list, nights with a bed covered, stops planned and free days.

Options

Weigh the hotels before you pick

Put two or three places to stay, ways to get there or things to do side by side, each with its price, per night for a stay, and a note. Pick one and the rest stay, grayed, with the reason you ruled them out. Only the pick counts toward the budget.

Where to stay in Ibiza: two hotels with their totals, prices per night and notes, a third ruled out on price, and the train already picked for getting there.

Sharing

With the money, or without it

Share a trip with someone on Junior as itinerary only, or with the costs too, person by person. Or make a link anyone can read; costs and booking documents never travel with a link, and stopping it cuts everyone off.

A trip's sharing panel: Priya sees costs, Sam sees the itinerary only, a box to add someone, and a link anyone can read with a note that costs and booking documents never travel with it.

Receipts

A photo in, charges out

Drop in photos or PDFs of receipts, or a card statement, and Junior reads them into charges: vendor, total, currency, date. One photo of three receipts becomes three. Nothing is saved until you check it.

You can also paste rows from a bank's CSV. There's no bank connection here, on purpose.

Reviewing a receipt read from a photo: Trattoria del Lago, 142.50 euros on Sep 4, paid by Priya, applied to the Lakes leg, with tax and tip noted, and Save and next.

Splits

Who paid, who owes, settled

Split a charge evenly, by shares, by percent or by exact amounts, including with someone who isn't on Junior. Balances are kept per currency, never mixed, and Settle up fills in the payment for you to check.

A charge in another currency can carry what it settled at on your statement.

A trip's charges: you owe 17.50 euros, Priya owes 27.50 and Sam is owed 45, each with settle up, and the charges grouped into transport and food and drink.
